These Pigs are tired....

My feet that is... I wore heels, for part of the day anyways. And at the end of the day all I wanted to do was:

But the shoes are cute right! I was so exhausted after working a 13 and 1/2 hour work day that I think I literally took a little nap on the floor of my room after I took this picture. Today, I was feeling very adventurous and even took some time to try out a new makeup look, a little daring, a little edgy

A silver neutral eye with a POP of pink on the lower lash line. I liked it! and I liked all the compliments I got on it! It was super easy to do and fun to wear. That's all the Tuesday news I have for now.... and I am super tired so I am headed to bed now. Night Y'all.

Thats not exactly what I call fun....

....But what can I expect, it is Monday after all. Today I confess I did not wear an exciting pair of shoes, nor did I do anything all that thrilling. What I did do was go to the gym this morning wearing these:
and ended up wearing them the whole day, because immediately upon exiting the gym I had about 1000 and 1 errands to run (okay that might be a slight exaggeration but it certainly felt like alot). CVS, Target, Best Buy, the Bank and the UPS store all got my gym shoe clad feet walking through them today. I did however have time to download some new video editing software and edit a couple of videos for my YouTube Channel today. Had a bunch of fun adding music and new fun intros, so be on the look out for those soon! On a side note did any of you hear about what some guy found in his Mountain Dew... Gross. I knew I was smart to stop drinking soda all those years ago. I seriously hope this week goes by quickly, I miss the weekend already. This coming up weekend is my last one of freedom before classes start again, *Sigh*. I better do something EPIC. Happy Monday Y'all.

And Before You Know It....

The weekend is over :( Its sometimes hard to believe how quickly the weekend always passes, far too quickly for my liking. Today I went to lunch with Mr. Friday, as we were sitting and chatting I was distracted by a woman sitting across the restaurant wearing a huge hot pink bow in her hair. It got me thinking at what point does fashion take a turn for the disastrous? I couldn't help but wonder what made this woman decided that the bow was the perfect accessory to wear to Chilli's (of all places). Did one of her fellow dinners not pull her aside and say "Hey listen, I love you, but I don't want to be seen in public with you and that bow in your hair". If one of my friends were wearing something like that to a restaurant I would certainly say something. I could understand wearing it to a special event or party or something, in fact it was cute but totally in the wrong setting. ANYWAYS enough of my rant. After lunch we walked around and then got some coffee. After parting, I went and did a little shopping Check out my HAUL video on my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatGreeneyedGirl24?feature=mhee. As for the makeup I wore for the day date, I went simple, a pale pink with black liner.

As for my shoes today I went with my leopard print converse, a fun shoe paired with a pair of jeans and a dark green long sleeve sweater. I hope you guys had a great weekend. Yuck tommorrow is Monday.

Took them off before I remembered that I was suppossed to take a picture.

Oh Saturday...

Is there anyday better than a Saturday? Its the perfect weekend day, lots of fun things happen on Saturday and you know that no matter what you do you have another day waiting on the otherside, Sunday. My Saturday was super lazy today. I slept in and then spent some time reading and filming some videos for my Youtube Channel. One of the videos I did was a Red Lip tutorial. I dont know about any of you other girls, but red lipstick is one of the trickiest makeup technique for me to perform. It seems that before they always came out looking sloppy or worse (like I had just been kicked in the mouth by something). But after weeks of practicing I feel like I finally might have gotten it right.

Now I feel confidant in my abilities and want to share all my tips and tricks for achieving this stunning makeup look!

As for the shoes I wore today, I must say that I am inspired by this challenge I have given myself. I wore my new Black boots today (although they look a little silly since it feels like Spring here in NY right now).

Before I have always been obsessed with shoes but now I notice them wherever I go, and bought a new pair of brown ankle boots today (not sure if that is a good thing or not but...). Tommorrow I have a second date with Mr. Friday! YEAH for the Weekend!!!!

It's Friday Friday Friday!!

Good Friday everyone! Today was so busy, work was crazy. Friday is usally one of my favorite work days because it is so much more relaxed and we have less to do. Tonight was also interesting because I had a first date. Dinner at a Japanease resturant, causal but elegant! I choose an outfit that I was comfortable in but also looked classy.

Jeans are from Rue 21 and so is the sweater which is white with gold stripes. Underneath I paired it with a nude cami and brown heels, and gold jewerly.
Day 2 different pair of shoes!

For my makeup I went natural brown, which I achieved using the original Naked Pallette. It was simple but dressy.

As far as the date is concerned I had a great time, we spent three hours over dinner laughing and getting to know each other. We ended the evening with plans for a second date!

The Start.....

Lets start crossing numbers off the list! #17 keep a blog everyday and #25 wear a different pair of shoes everyday. So far so good, day one, a brand new start! Todays shoes:
One of the reasons that I wanted to add this to the list was because I am the type of person to take the safe and secure route. I wear comfortable clothes and stare longingly at the girls in skinny jeans and stilletos. I don't want to be safe anymore, I want to do the unexpected and start living my life with purpose and excitement! So tommorrow I am tossing these back in the closet and taking out the black heels, It helps that friday night I have a date!!! What a great way to start the New Year!

Say Yea for new organization!!

Wahoo!!! For Christmas I bought myself a present (okay I admit I bought myself more than one :). Ta Da a new desk for my room!
It's beautiful right~! I love that now I have a place to do my homework (instead of sitting on my bed with my books spread all around and my laptop on my lap) as well as a place to keep and do my makeup. I just filmed an updated organizational video for my YouTube Channel so be sure to check that out!

Here's to a New Year!

Happy New Years everyone! A little belated I know. The new year has started basically the same way that the last one ended for me. Working, and getting ready for school to start in two weeks. I am not usually one to make New Years Resolutions but I though that since I am turning 26 (YIKES) this year I would create a list of 26 things I wanted to accomplish before my birthday and call them resolutions. I am not sure if any of you have seen the 2007 movie "bucket list" with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nickelson, in which two dying men create a list of things they want to do before they "Kick the bucket". But, after seeing that movie I created a list of my own (as I assume a lot of people did). If I am honest with myself I havent checked off nearly as many of the 100 things that I would have liked to. But some of them I did check off this past year, like #7 "eat dinner in a resturant alone" (which I did in Paris!) and #78 "Stand in awe before the Eiffel Tower" (obviously also in Paris). So for this brand new year I decied to take some of the items from my bucket list, as well as some of them that are not, and put them on the 26 things to do before I turn 26 list. Some of these things I have been putting off for a long time and feel that its about time I choose to not only better myself physically but mentally as well. One of the things I really want to accomplish on this list is to blog everyday. These posts might not always be beauty related but may concern something I read about or saw on T.V or even things that happened to me during the day. Some of these things I will keep track of everyday and let you guys know how my progress is going. And I must admit that some of these I cheated on, things like ride in a helicopter, learn to surf and swim with dolphins, I am planning a trip to Hawaii in June and planned to do these things while I was there. But since they were on my bucket list anyways I thought I could include them on this list too. Here's hoping I can find enough things to keep you guys entertained for the next 7 months. Wish me luck on completing this list before I turn 26 on the 26th of July!

Silver Bells

I am not sure what it is about Christmas music, that puts me in the mood to do a makeup tutorial. All I know is that I will be ridding in the car listening to music and suddenly I will be like "hey silver bells..... I should do a silver holiday look". Now that you know where I got the inspiration for this look, lets get down to business. I really love this look ( in fact I will probably wear it for my own holiday get together later this week). It's so simple to create and if the compliments I recieved from the look are any indication it's a total hit!
