Silver Bells

I am not sure what it is about Christmas music, that puts me in the mood to do a makeup tutorial. All I know is that I will be ridding in the car listening to music and suddenly I will be like "hey silver bells..... I should do a silver holiday look". Now that you know where I got the inspiration for this look, lets get down to business. I really love this look ( in fact I will probably wear it for my own holiday get together later this week). It's so simple to create and if the compliments I recieved from the look are any indication it's a total hit! Make sure to check out my YouTube channel for a tutorial on how to achieve this festive look!

Holiday Lights!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!! Its Christmas season again, a time for family get togethers and holiday party's. Normally at this time of year there is a bunch of snow here in NY and it's very cold, so I always have pink cheeks and chapped lips. But this year mother nature has a different plan. It is very green here and still quite warm. So the look I wanted to create was very warm with lots of brown and pinks to give me that glowy feeling I always have around this time of year. I hope you guys like it as much as I do!

BOO to You!!

YEA!!!! It's Halloween time! This is my favorite time of year. I love everything there is about fall, the weather (kinda warm kinda cold) Apple cider (hot and yummy from Dunkin Donuts!) the changing colors (Fall in NY is sooooo beautiful) and best of all Halloween. A day where we get to pretend to be someone else! This year I am torn as to what to be so I haven't quite decided yet, but last year I went as a Lepord, ( we spent last October with a weekend down in Disney so I actually got to dress up twice!) I wanted to upload a video to Youtube and some pictures here of the makeup that I did for my costume. I always love watching Halloween tutorials on YouTube and I wanted to start contributing some, so keep a look out for some fun (and maybe scary!!) things to come!

For the Trip Continued.....

I am proud and delighted to say that I have finally finished shopping for my trip. After numerous and exhausting trips to the mall, outlets, and other stores, and exhausting all clothing store options I have found some things that I am delighted with.

I have been wanting some of these moccasins for
a while now and this was the perfect excuse to pick up
a pair, ideal for the 8 hour plane ride I think!

This top is from Forever 21
Paired with this Nude cami it will look great
with the Navy blue Capri's

This is the perfect sweater for the long plane ride
paired with a black tshirt or cami and a pair of legging
Ideal travel outfit!

I love shoes that I can throw on and go, especially if they are
cute like these one's!
So far I have done zero packing, I am one of those people who like to get my suitcase out a week ahead of time and toss things in as I buy or remember that I need to pack them. And then the night before spend 2 hours or more trying to make everything fit.

The current state of my packing

However this time I am determined to take as little as possible, especially since the apartment I am staying in has a washer, meaning I dont have to bring as many cloths, just have to be a little creative with my wardrobe selections (mix and match have become my new favorite words!). Shoes on the other hand are a major problem, especially since I have so many cute pairs that are just dying to see the city of lights. So many choice, not enough outfits! Not only that but bathroom things, compared to cloths I seem to be packing up my entire bathroom and bringing it along for the ride. Other than the packing I am happy to say that all other bases have been covered. Other things I have purchased for my trip to Paris:

Apartment in 20th Arrondismont
Paris Museum pass for 6 days
Reservations for Eiffel Tower (to skip the long lines)
Reservation on a River Seine cruise and show at the Moulin Rouge (I am so looking forward to this since one of my all time favorite movies is "Moulin Rouge" staring Nicole Kidman)

If you can't obviously tell 1. I am super excited and 2. I am a very avid planner. I prefer to plan ahead and make sure I am prepared for any and all circumstances. One of my goals of this trip is to be a little spontaneous. I find it hard (and I think this is one of the pitfalls of my job) that I tend to plan and then overplan everything, and end up taking some of the fun out of things. I would also like to be able to slow down and enjoy my life a little bit more, I always feel like I am on fast forward, planning for whats coming next instead of enjoying what's going on now. I hope to beable to sit and enjoy many three hour dinners, cafe breaks etc.... Here's hoping I come back from Paris with a new outlook on life! Hope Ya'll are having a wonderful week!

For the Trip....

I will be the first to admit that I don't "Love" shopping. I do it out of necessity. I am more the type of person who frequents bookstores than clothing stores. When it came time to buy some new things for the trip I was a little apprehensive. Up to this point (and because of my job) I tend to gravitate towards cloths that are easy to wear or have funny things on them. But for this trip I wanted to start dressing like a "Grown-Up". I happy to share with you guys some of my sweet finds over the past couple of days! Stay tuned for more fashion finds :) Hope ya'll are having a wonderful August so far!!!!

A little Vent....

Have you ever noticed that when you want or need things to go smoothly, they very rarely do. Something always is going wrong, or not the way you expect it to go. I had one of those moments this morning. I always feel very frustrated when things are out of my control and they start heading in the wrong direction than what I had planned. This is especially true when it comes to my bank. It seems to me that people at the bank should always be trying to impress me, they want my money there, and yet things go wrong ALL THE TIME. I chose this bank simply because of its convenience and because I like there commercials ( Logical reasons I know) and they also gave me a free gift when I signed up!! However, always when I least expect it do things seem to take a downward turn. Then I have to spend an hour on the phone with customer service only to be told that its also out of their control and they can't fix my problem. GRRRRR..... frustration. Anyways that's my Friday morning rant, and now I can get on with my regularly schedule day ! Hope Ya'll are having a wonderful Friday!

These are a few of my favorite things......

Here is my first (of many) posts about my favorite beauty products. These are my favorite eyeshadow products, and pallettes. In my collection and Organization video on Youtube I told you guys that I dont have a huge collection, and that may be true but I make what I do have work for me all the time.

These are my favorite pink colored eyeshadow;
Starting from the top they are MAC Seedy Pearl, Swish
and Vapour. The pigment is Pink Venus and next to it
the lonley UD Cherry

These are my most used colors from the top left;
MAC Grain, Satin Taupe, Vapour, and Phloof. The
Three pigments are also MAC Peach whip, Twinks, and Chrystal

This is the UD Dangerous Palette

Urban Decay Naked Palette

This is a cheapo palette from NYC (I usually purchase these
from Walmart) this one is called Lexington Luxury

And a Pinch to grow an inch....

I will be the first to admit that I am not a big fan of my birthday. I love celebrating other peoples birthdays but when it comes to my own, I could actually skip it. And it has nothing to do with the getting older part, I just simply could care less. So when yesterday rolled around, just as it always does this time of year, I was more than happy to let it roll on by just like any other ordinary day. And it for the most part was just that, an ordinary day. I did however go out for dinner (sushi, my favorite!!) and Ice cream. And to top it all off the Yankees pulled out a win last night !!!! I got some awesome gifts from my mom and bought myself (every year I buy myself something that I truely want) my totally rad trip to Paris. Being 25 seems strange to me, like I should be a grown up now but still feel much like a kid, I guess I will always be a kid at heart!
