It's Friday Friday Friday!!

Good Friday everyone! Today was so busy, work was crazy. Friday is usally one of my favorite work days because it is so much more relaxed and we have less to do. Tonight was also interesting because I had a first date. Dinner at a Japanease resturant, causal but elegant! I choose an outfit that I was comfortable in but also looked classy.

Jeans are from Rue 21 and so is the sweater which is white with gold stripes. Underneath I paired it with a nude cami and brown heels, and gold jewerly.
Day 2 different pair of shoes!

For my makeup I went natural brown, which I achieved using the original Naked Pallette. It was simple but dressy.

As far as the date is concerned I had a great time, we spent three hours over dinner laughing and getting to know each other. We ended the evening with plans for a second date!

The Start.....

Lets start crossing numbers off the list! #17 keep a blog everyday and #25 wear a different pair of shoes everyday. So far so good, day one, a brand new start! Todays shoes:
One of the reasons that I wanted to add this to the list was because I am the type of person to take the safe and secure route. I wear comfortable clothes and stare longingly at the girls in skinny jeans and stilletos. I don't want to be safe anymore, I want to do the unexpected and start living my life with purpose and excitement! So tommorrow I am tossing these back in the closet and taking out the black heels, It helps that friday night I have a date!!! What a great way to start the New Year!

Say Yea for new organization!!

Wahoo!!! For Christmas I bought myself a present (okay I admit I bought myself more than one :). Ta Da a new desk for my room!
It's beautiful right~! I love that now I have a place to do my homework (instead of sitting on my bed with my books spread all around and my laptop on my lap) as well as a place to keep and do my makeup. I just filmed an updated organizational video for my YouTube Channel so be sure to check that out!

Here's to a New Year!

Happy New Years everyone! A little belated I know. The new year has started basically the same way that the last one ended for me. Working, and getting ready for school to start in two weeks. I am not usually one to make New Years Resolutions but I though that since I am turning 26 (YIKES) this year I would create a list of 26 things I wanted to accomplish before my birthday and call them resolutions. I am not sure if any of you have seen the 2007 movie "bucket list" with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nickelson, in which two dying men create a list of things they want to do before they "Kick the bucket". But, after seeing that movie I created a list of my own (as I assume a lot of people did). If I am honest with myself I havent checked off nearly as many of the 100 things that I would have liked to. But some of them I did check off this past year, like #7 "eat dinner in a resturant alone" (which I did in Paris!) and #78 "Stand in awe before the Eiffel Tower" (obviously also in Paris). So for this brand new year I decied to take some of the items from my bucket list, as well as some of them that are not, and put them on the 26 things to do before I turn 26 list. Some of these things I have been putting off for a long time and feel that its about time I choose to not only better myself physically but mentally as well. One of the things I really want to accomplish on this list is to blog everyday. These posts might not always be beauty related but may concern something I read about or saw on T.V or even things that happened to me during the day. Some of these things I will keep track of everyday and let you guys know how my progress is going. And I must admit that some of these I cheated on, things like ride in a helicopter, learn to surf and swim with dolphins, I am planning a trip to Hawaii in June and planned to do these things while I was there. But since they were on my bucket list anyways I thought I could include them on this list too. Here's hoping I can find enough things to keep you guys entertained for the next 7 months. Wish me luck on completing this list before I turn 26 on the 26th of July!

Holiday Lights!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!!! Its Christmas season again, a time for family get togethers and holiday party's. Normally at this time of year there is a bunch of snow here in NY and it's very cold, so I always have pink cheeks and chapped lips. But this year mother nature has a different plan. It is very green here and still quite warm. So the look I wanted to create was very warm with lots of brown and pinks to give me that glowy feeling I always have around this time of year. I hope you guys like it as much as I do!

YEA!!!! It's Halloween time! This is my favorite time of year. I love everything there is about fall, the weather (kinda warm kinda cold) Apple cider (hot and yummy from Dunkin Donuts!) the changing colors (Fall in NY is sooooo beautiful) and best of all Halloween. A day where we get to pretend to be someone else! This year I am torn as to what to be so I haven't quite decided yet, but last year I went as a Lepord, ( we spent last October with a weekend down in Disney so I actually got to dress up twice!) I wanted to upload a video to Youtube and some pictures here of the makeup that I did for my costume. I always love watching Halloween tutorials on YouTube and I wanted to start contributing some, so keep a look out for some fun (and maybe scary!!) things to come!

For the Trip Continued.....

I am proud and delighted to say that I have finally finished shopping for my trip. After numerous and exhausting trips to the mall, outlets, and other stores, and exhausting all clothing store options I have found some things that I am delighted with.

I have been wanting some of these moccasins for
a while now and this was the perfect excuse to pick up
a pair, ideal for the 8 hour plane ride I think!

This top is from Forever 21
Paired with this Nude cami it will look great
with the Navy blue Capri's

This is the perfect sweater for the long plane ride
paired with a black tshirt or cami and a pair of legging
Ideal travel outfit!

I love shoes that I can throw on and go, especially if they are
cute like these one's!
So far I have done zero packing, I am one of those people who like to get my suitcase out a week ahead of time and toss things in as I buy or remember that I need to pack them. And then the night before spend 2 hours or more trying to make everything fit.

The current state of my packing

However this time I am determined to take as little as possible, especially since the apartment I am staying in has a washer, meaning I dont have to bring as many cloths, just have to be a little creative with my wardrobe selections (mix and match have become my new favorite words!). Shoes on the other hand are a major problem, especially since I have so many cute pairs that are just dying to see the city of lights. So many choice, not enough outfits! Not only that but bathroom things, compared to cloths I seem to be packing up my entire bathroom and bringing it along for the ride. Other than the packing I am happy to say that all other bases have been covered. Other things I have purchased for my trip to Paris:

Apartment in 20th Arrondismont
Paris Museum pass for 6 days
Reservations for Eiffel Tower (to skip the long lines)
Reservation on a River Seine cruise and show at the Moulin Rouge (I am so looking forward to this since one of my all time favorite movies is "Moulin Rouge" staring Nicole Kidman)

If you can't obviously tell 1. I am super excited and 2. I am a very avid planner. I prefer to plan ahead and make sure I am prepared for any and all circumstances. One of my goals of this trip is to be a little spontaneous. I find it hard (and I think this is one of the pitfalls of my job) that I tend to plan and then overplan everything, and end up taking some of the fun out of things. I would also like to be able to slow down and enjoy my life a little bit more, I always feel like I am on fast forward, planning for whats coming next instead of enjoying what's going on now. I hope to beable to sit and enjoy many three hour dinners, cafe breaks etc.... Here's hoping I come back from Paris with a new outlook on life! Hope Ya'll are having a wonderful week!

For the Trip....

I will be the first to admit that I don't "Love" shopping. I do it out of necessity. I am more the type of person who frequents bookstores than clothing stores. When it came time to buy some new things for the trip I was a little apprehensive. Up to this point (and because of my job) I tend to gravitate towards cloths that are easy to wear or have funny things on them. But for this trip I wanted to start dressing like a "Grown-Up". I happy to share with you guys some of my sweet finds over the past couple of days! Stay tuned for more fashion finds :) Hope ya'll are having a wonderful August so far!!!!
